Winter Wedding – Vienna, Virginia

In December, I had the opportunity to assist and second-shoot with an incredibly talented wedding photographer named Victoria Ruan (Victoria Ruan Photography). A lovely, and rather warm, winter day allowed us ample time outdoors to photograph the gorgeous couple’s first-look photos and portraits. The portraits were then followed by a Persian wedding ceremony (with the prettiest sofreh aghd). The photos in this post are some of my resulting images. Thank you so much, Victoria, for letting me work with you! It was such a joy!

Jeff & Vicki: At-Home and National Gallery of Art Maternity Session

What a joy to have been able to take these special photos for Vicki and Jeff. Approximately one year ago, we did a lifestyle photo session in D.C. where we walked around some of their favorite spots. This time, their session included a little addition. :) Due to an abnormally freezing cold late-November day, we decided to do part of the session inside of their adorable D.C. row house and then part of the session inside of the beautiful East Building of the National Gallery of Art. I am so happy we decided to do both because it provided for a nice mix of photos that show the comfort, fun and creativity that defines this lovely couple. Vicki and Jeff, thank you so much for letting me be part of this special moment in your lives!

Todd, Samantha and Ruby – Kinder Farm Park, Maryland

Todd and Samantha are the sweetest couple and on a lovely fall evening, we walked around Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, Maryland with their adorable pup, Ruby. We talked, laughed, told some jokes (do you have any green beer?? :)) and took some charming photos. The exciting thing about this photo session is that we took a few additional photos that would be used to announce a very special surprise. One of those special photos is at the end of this post.

Todd and Samantha, thanks for letting me spend the evening with you both. And here is to a healthy and happy “special surprise.” :)
