Nicole and Ryan – Cherry Blossom Engagement – Washington, D.C.

You may remember them from their proposal that I was fortunate enough to get to witness and photograph about a year ago. Nicole and Ryan are such a sweet couple. And, clearly, incredibly photogenic! I loved watching the way they looked at each other in those stolen moments. It is easy to see how much they love and respect each other. What more could a photographer who loves capturing love ask for??!! Nicole and Ryan, thank you for letting me be a part of this special moment in your lives.

Spring Wedding at Stone Manor Country Club – Middletown, Maryland

My beautiful friend and her handsome husband got married on a gorgeous spring day in a very pretty and fun outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. Blending their cultures together, the wedding was a wonderful mix of Persian and Argentinian elements. With such a fun-loving and close-knit group of family and friends to celebrate with, it was easy to see why no one wanted the night to end. Thank you so much to Andrew Morrell for graciously allowing me to tag along and document some of the special moments. I loved watching Andrew work. He is such a creative talent (see more of his work here). Shahrzad and Adrian, I wish you guys all the best!!

Best of 2013

So over the last few weeks, as my 2014 season starts getting busier, I have been thinking about last year and all of the wonderful people I have had a chance to meet and/or continue to build friendships with while continuing on this adventure of mine. Regretting not having done a “best of 2013” post at the beginning of the year, I decided to just go ahead and do one now…only 4 months late. But better late than never, I suppose. :) It is really nice to be able to look back on the last year and see all of the wonderful things I have been lucky to be part of. Some of my favorites below.

Thank you to the amazing people that let me photograph them and their special days and life moments in 2013. And thank you to some awesome photographers who l was fortunate enough to get to work with and learn from: Julie, Victoria, Rebecca, Lauren, and Annette.

Winter Wedding – Vienna, Virginia

In December, I had the opportunity to assist and second-shoot with an incredibly talented wedding photographer named Victoria Ruan (Victoria Ruan Photography). A lovely, and rather warm, winter day allowed us ample time outdoors to photograph the gorgeous couple’s first-look photos and portraits. The portraits were then followed by a Persian wedding ceremony (with the prettiest sofreh aghd). The photos in this post are some of my resulting images.
